What 5472.net collects to prepare and fax your Form 5472, Form 1120 or Form 7004, who receives it, and when it is deleted.

This policy explains what information 5472.net ("we") collects when you prepare a filing, why, who receives it and how long it is kept.

What we collect#

While you fill in the wizard and look at the preview, nothing you type is sent to us: the forms are generated in your browser, which only downloads the blank IRS forms from our server. We receive your details when you choose a plan and continue to payment. From then on we hold:

  • Filing details you enter: the LLC's name, EIN, U.S. address, formation date and business activity; the owner's name, address, countries of citizenship and tax residence, foreign tax ID (FTIN), and U.S. taxpayer ID or reference ID if given; the year's transactions with the owner; the signer's name, title, date and drawn signature.
  • Contact details, if you choose to give them: email address and phone number.
  • Payment details: Stripe processes the payment. We receive the amount, currency and payment status — never your card number.
  • Technical data: your IP address is used briefly in memory to limit abusive request rates. Your browser stores your draft, theme and language choice locally on your device; these are not sent to us until you submit.
  • ZIP lookup: the city and state are filled in from a postal-code table built into the page (GeoNames, CC BY 4.0). The ZIP code you type is not sent to us or to anyone else.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not sell personal information.

Why we use it#

  • To fill in the official IRS forms and show you a preview.
  • To send your filing by fax to the IRS when you ask us to, and to show its delivery status and receipt.
  • To take payment and keep an accounting record of it.
  • To answer you if you contact us.

Who receives it#

  • The IRS — the filing you choose to fax.
  • Stripe — payment processing (order number, amount and, if given, your email).
  • Our fax provider — the filing PDF and the IRS fax number, to transmit the fax. It fetches the PDF through a signed link that expires within an hour.
  • Our hosting provider — stores the service's data on our behalf.

How long we keep it#

  • Orders that are never paid: the details are deleted 24 hours after the order is created.
  • Paid orders: the details are deleted 3 years after the order is created, so you can download past filings.
  • Any time you like: "Delete my details" on the order page deletes them immediately (once any fax in progress has finished).

After deletion we keep only the payment and fax records — company name, tax year, amounts, dates, status and the fax receipt — for accounting.

Security#

There is no account: each order is opened with its own 128-bit random link, so keep that link private. Pages and files are served over HTTPS, and order pages are excluded from search engines.

Your choices#

You can correct your details from the order page until the fax is sent, and delete them there at any time. To ask for a copy or anything else about your information, contact us.

If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
